Running Coaching

Coaching isn’t just for elite athletes, all levels of runner can benefit from a structured training plan and structured sessions tailored to help reach your goals.

Whatever your fitness level, make the most of your training runs with personalised running coaching. Running coaching can dovetail with a personal training programme if required. So that your programme can include running sessions, strengthening and conditioning work and flexibility work depending on your needs and goals.

Beginners

Beginners sessions focus on building up your confidence with a safe warm up, running tips on running style and efficiently,  and advice on planning your training, how often and how fast to run. Sessions can start with walking/running if appropriate and are at a pace that suits you, whatever your fitness level. Whether your goal is to make running a part of your weekly exercise routine or to run your first race, I will write a bespoke programme to help you achieve your goals, stay injury free and most importantly, enjoy your running!

Improvers

Are you a regular runner who is looking to take their running to the next level? Are you getting your paces right, are you running efficiently, would you like to learn new sessions specifically suited to your race distance? Running coaching with me will focus on getting the most from each of your runs.

A bespoke training programme will usually focus on a particular race or ‘season’ and include threshold running, hill training, speed sessions, race pace sessions easy pace runs, long runs and running specific strength and conditioning.

Reviewing your current training and running style will allow me to suggest amendments to ensure you to train smarter and give guidance on how to improve your weaknesses.
